Code of Ethics Training:
The National Association of REALTORS® Ethics requirements have changed to a three year cycle, effective immediately! The current Ethics requirement cycle is January 2022 - December 31, 2024.
As a member of EBR, you are also a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and are required to complete a course in Ethics to remain a member in good standing.
Did you know that all EBR Members must take a course in Ethics? Did you also know that everyone takes this course during the same three-year time period? The current time frame for taking a course in Ethics is January 2022 - December 31, 2024. Failure to complete an Ethics course during this time period will result in suspension of membership services and benefits as the local, state, and national level.
There are several options to fulfill the Code of Ethics requirement:
EBR: Take a three-hour course at EBR (counts for 3hr PSC credit, check calendar for availability)
NAR: Take a three-hour online course through NAR (this does not qualify for CE credit)
OAR: Take a three-hour course through OAR (this does qualify for CE credit)
CE Shop: Take a three-hour online course through the CE Shop (this does qualify for CE credit)
If you are an appraiser and do not need OREC CE credit, you should opt for taking the 3 hour course at the NAR website. As a member of The National Association of REALTORS®, you are required to take a realtor approved ethics course. The USPAS does not count toward this requirement.
PLEASE NOTE (2020 NAR Bylaw changes) - NAR ONLY approves courses that are completed by local REALTOR® associations, State Association of REALTORS®, National Association of REALTORS® or association approved entities (CE Shop only).
